Are Vegan Diets Ruining Your Gains?
Many choose plant-based diets due to health, religion, ethics, and other beliefs. There is some speculation by meat eaters stating that it is not as effective compared to a meat-based diet.
The main question is, does plant-based diet hold up against meat eaters? Or the real question, can it put the same amount of muscle tissue as a meat eaters diet.
The answer is yes!
With the right planning, you can absolutely build the same amount of muscle tissue. There is plenty of research that point towards eating 0.7 – 1.0g per lb of bodyweight is enough to make muscle gain.
So even eating wheat, pea, or potato – you can absolutely still make gains as long as you fit in into your daily calorie value and macros.
Be sure to also train hard while dialing in your nutrition to fully reap the benefits!
I always like to say train hard, recover and diet harder!
